The third annual Ultimo is set to take place at the Venetian and the Palazzo from December 17 to 20.
Visitors will experience an incredible culinary experience provided by 15 of the world’s most renowned chefs including Jérôme Bocuse, Thomas Keller, and Daniel Boulud.
The hotly anticipated event will start with a cooking competition where up-and-coming chefs vie for a chance to represent the United States in 2017 at the Bocuse d’Or, the biennial world chef championship.
Following the competition, culinary connoisseurs have the opportunity to sample a series of plates inspired by the four classical elements. Dinners will experience an earth-inspired menu of wild game and Urbani truffles; a fire-focused meal of wood-baked pizza and meats roasted over an open flame; a water-themed seafood spread served in gondolas on the Venetian’s miniaturized take on the Grand Canal in Venice; and, the most lavish of all, an air-inspired feast beginning with a Champagne and caviar reception in the Venetian’s resplendent Grand Colonnade room and culminating with a meal prepared by chefs Thomas Keller, Philip Tessier, Shaun Hergatt, and Ming Tsai.
When the truffle farewell brunch on December 20 finally brings the festival to a close, attendees will not only take home memories of these mouthwatering meals, but also some well-earned bragging rights—ensuring that just this once, what happens in Vegas doesn’t have to stay in Vegas.
