Many a time, dining in Las Vegas can be as much a bane as it is a fun activity, not because it’s not an enjoyable experience, but because you’re so spoiled for choice, you’re at a loss as to which place to devour your next meal at. So it’s for this very reason here at 702 ENT we felt the need to spoil you even more, by giving you our top 5 places where we think you should dine at.
Forger your resolution!
If you’ve already given up on trying to eat more healthily in this year, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse is making it easy to indulge. They’re even offering three new steak toppings: Alaskan king crab truffle butter, seared Hudson Valley foie gras and Oscar-style, with lump crab, asparagus and bearnaise. This is indeed the definition of decadence.
Selecting the Piedmont
Pioneer Wolfgang Puck’s Lupo at Mandalay Bay is accentuating the Piedmont region of Italy this month, with five plates enthused by the region offered during the weekly Friday Feast. Culinary creations include but are not limited to Vitello Tonnato, which is veal carpaccio in tuna sauce, and veal osso buco with bone-marrow risotto. The epitome of divine.
Sample the Otto sprouts
Surprisingly the unsung heroes in the vegetable family, brussels sprouts are having a moment, and Mario Batali’s Otto Enoteca e Pizzeria at The Venetian is displaying them in two dishes. Crispy Brussels sprouts are an appetizer for two, and the seasonal pizza is also topped with them, covered in creamy mozzarella, delicious prosciutto and preserved lemon.
Executive decision
It doesn’t matter if you’re an executive or not: it seems we’re all walking around like headless chickens caught up in the hustle and bustle of life these days. Pub 365 at the Tuscany, 255 E. Flamingo Road, has answered to that with its new Executive Lunch Menu, offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays.
Eleven entrées, which include a classic Cuban panini, carnitas tacos and a Cobb salad, will be delivered to your table within 15 minutes of ordering or they’ll be free! It’s that simple. If they make it on time they’re $9.95, which includes a fountain drink or iced tea. Not too shabby, if we say so ourselves!
Sipping Splendor
Tickets are on sale for the 28th annual Splendor in the Glass, a benefit for the programming and municipal outreach projects of Vegas PBS. The event is being held from 4 to 8 p.m. on 11th March at Crimson, Red Rock Resort, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd., and will include beer and wine samples, passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations, a silent auction and DJ. Tickets at $90 in advance.
