Club Etiquette in Las Vegas

There is quite a list of Dos and Don’ts that play an important role when it comes to nightclub etiquette in Las Vegas, in relation to time, attire, attitude and more. Here is a brief breakdown of some things to keep in mind before you head out to the dance floor.

Think and Plan Ahead
In order to avoid long queues, plan ahead of time and book your tickets or tables in advance. If you already have your ticket when you get to the club, you’ll get to wait in a shorter line, saving you lots of time. Keep in mind that women generally get first priority when getting into clubs, so for the men, use your social skills and try to befriend some of the ladies for quicker admission.

It’s also worth pointing out that even if you have a VIP host or table reserved, you will still have to wait in line. If you’re really trying to avoid waiting, try going on an off-night, which are typically between Sunday and Wednesday.

Dress to Impress
Your entrance to a club is pretty much based on what you are wearing. While it’s important to be comfortable, you won’t get away with just about anything. Baggy or ripped jeans, cut-offs, shorts or capris, jerseys, and anything sporty like caps, beanies or tennis shoes, are out of the question. This doesn’t mean that you need to suit up, but dress up smartly and you should be fine.

That being said, you might see some people in the clubs wearing items from the no-no list. It is quite normal for doorman to close an eye for friends or tipping table customers

Respect
When in the club, it is extremely important to be respectful towards everyone. Be polite and leave tips for the lovely men and women serving your cocktails; even a particularly generous one if you’ve received great service.

Do not disturb people in the club; whether it’s the DJ or other members. Unless you’ve hired the DJ yourself, just leave them to do their thing. This applies on the dance floor too; so if you don’t want to dance, step aside and don’t get in the way of anyone, and if you do want to dance, make sure that you don’t impose yourself on groups. If you are trying to get someone’s attention, feel free to throw in some cool moves, but take it easy.
