Janet Jackson fans hoping to watch the star at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on October 9th and 10th will be disappointed as the international superstar has decided to move the shows to May next year to rest her vocal chords.
The 49-year-old singer and performer announced her comeback in June, but there have been a series of highs and lows for the pop icon ever since.
Janet Jacksons “Unbreakable” tour will be moved to a new 20,000 seat arena in May.
According to Live Nation Entertainment, ticketholders will be refunded and will have the first chance to buy tickets for the May 14th performance. Tickets go on sale on October 16th.
The move is a loss for Caesars Entertainment Corp, which owns the venue at Planet Hollywood that features regular performances by Britney Spears and soon Jennifer Lopez.
MGM Resorts International is working with concert presenter AEG to open the new arena behind MGM’s New York-New York and Monte Carlo resorts in April.
Jackson’s comeback album “Unbreakable” was released on Friday, the singers first album since 2008.
