702 ENT is ecstatic to announce that Jeff Dunham, whose “Dear Achmed” Q and A session with his faithful confidant Achmed the Dead Terrorist puppet, debuts his “Perfectly Unbalanced” schedule from 8th March next year.
The steadiness of the 2017 schedule is 16th, 23rd and 30th June; 7th, 12th, 19th and 26th July; 2nd, 10th, 16th 23rd and 30th August; and 6th and 13th September. Tickets are being sold at $49.50, $69.50 and $49.50.
Last Sunday, Dunham completed a series of weekend performances at the Colosseum at Caesars, concluding the show with Achmed singing his individual take on a classic Christmas tune, “Jingle Balls,” livestreamed on Facebook. Within a mere hour, the video had reached over a whopping 300,000 views!
Of course, the fame of that clip comes to no surprise. The 54-year-old stage veteran has performed at countless Las Vegas stages over the years, including those at Sahara and Riviera, and even headlined at Planet Hollywood in 2014-15. Dunham made his debut at the Colosseum in 2008 during The Comedy Festival at Caesars, and has attracted masses of followers to the 4,300-seat theater in his limited engagements at the hotel. Dunham’s tour halts around the country fill 7,000-8,000 seat arenas.
Describing his prevalent fame as doing: “show after show after show” from Kiwanis clubs and Boy Scout birthday parties to shows for churches, comedy clubs, and most importantly, “appealing to a very wide range of people,” Dunham explained at the Colosseum after Sunday’s show. “You see many mixes of audiences, and I think you learn people very well and what they like.” He continues to explain “a kind of down-the-middle sense of humor you have to find to have success.”
