702 ENT’s Top 7 Things to do in Las Vegas This Week

With V-Day tomorrow, whether you’re a Las Vegan or avid visitor, you can either choose to delve right into the wide-eyed, heart-shaped, lovesick thick of it – or distance yourselves with more companionable forms of recreation. Here are 702 ENT’s Top 7 picks of what to see, eat and do for this week:

Get your grub on

Chubby Cattle is loads of fun. It’s Southern Nevada’s first – and, apparently, only – conveyor-belt restaurant.

Grab a drink

Cabo Wabo at the Miracle Mile Shops will be having a decadent chocolate covered cherry cocktail only tomorrow. A whimsical blend of whipped cream vodka, maraschino liqueur and white chocolate liquor, it’s garnished with a chocolate-dipped cherry, $12.

Watch a show

Tony-winning director Diane Paulus found “Finding Neverland” on the road to Broadway, where the musical – inspired by the 2004 Oscar-winning movie of the same name – played more than a year. The Peter Pan-enthused musical flew into its eight-show run at The Smith Center last week.

After seeing death-defying stunts in martial arts movies, you can now see them live, thanks to Shaolin Warriors’ kung fu masters, who’ll reveal hand-to-hand and weapons combat at 7:30p.m. tonight at The Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall.

Catch a movie

“Lego Batman” finds the aloof Caped Crusader (Will Arnett) — the breakout star of 2014’s “The Lego Movie” was a PG-rated Deadpool before “Deadpool” hit the big screen — at the peak of his fame. For most of its 104-minute run time, the movie is a celebration of all things outlandish about Batman — with a few jabs about his most recent big-screen appearances thrown in.

Go see a comedian

As the Las Vegas favorite says, “I’m a better comedian when I’m only doing stand-up.” White returned to the Mirage over last weekend.

Can anyone help thicken Donald Trump’s skin? Maybe Lisa Lampanelli managed to… She made fun of the chief executive but in actuality gets along with him. The “Queen of Mean” got a head start when she helped roast Trump on Comedy Central in 2011 and did a tour of duty on “Celebrity Apprentice” the next year. She was back in town for a stand-up show at 9 p.m. last Friday at Treasure Island.

Celebrate V- Day

Treat your date to a smorgasbord of specially crafted Valentine’s Day meals in the multitude restaurants for your special night with your beau…or better yet, view one of our previous blogs, for even more inspiration.

Don’t celebrate V-Day

For the anti-Valentine’s Day folk, Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas will host a Singles Awareness Day party from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday. A complimentary Budweiser Signature draft beer will be served to visitors who bring in a photo of their ex to be shredded on-site.

What’s more, The House of Blues Restaurant & Bar will host an Anti-Valentine’s Day Party. The classic rock band Metropolis will play breakup hits and ’80s anthems at 8 p.m. Guests can bring a picture of an ex to put on the #SelfieShameBoard and receive a free shot (while supplies last).

So there you have it: our Top 7 list of things to do this week. Whether you’re a fan of eating out, drinking a good bottle of wine, or if you’re a hopeless romantic – heck! even if you’re not… no matter what your scene is, you’re sure to find exactly what you’re looking for in this Sin City.
