W Hotel at SLS
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. will be opening its first W Hotel on the Strip at SLS Las Vegas towards the end of the year. Starwood will take over management of the existing 289-room tower, which is currently operating under the SLS LUX brand, after its conversion.
The W Hotel will feature 289 luxurious rooms designed by world renowned architect and designer Philippe Starck. The hotel will feature a separate hotel lobby, branded as the W Living Room, a dedicated entry and reception area for W Hotel guests, and a W-branded spa, outdoor pool and bar area.
Guests will also benefit from Starwood Preferred Guest points during their stay along with the ability to open their room doors with their smartphones.
The 204 room Lucky Dragon, which is still under construction on Sahara Avenue, will feature 8 gaming tables, 350 slot machines, five restaurants, four lounges, a pool, a spa, and “modest” retail stores.
After a few problems with the construction schedule, the hotel is planned to be open by summer 2016.

Las Vegas Arena
With the Killers set to play at the grand opening of the new, 20,000-seat Las Vegas arena on April 6th, we are sure that there are going to be many fantastic live shows to enjoy over the course of the year.

Avengers/Transformers
Treasure Island, a fun new attraction for the whole family, is set to open its doors in 2016.
The project, which is expected to open by the end of March, will offer two separate interactive theme park-like experiences.
You’ll encounter characters and storylines unique to The Avengers and Transformers.
The Avengers level will include an Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (Scientific Training Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) while staffing the facility with Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and Thor.
Ready, set, go! This new 100-acre speed complex is set to give car enthusiasts the ultimate supercar experience.
From March 2016, the $30 million complex will feature Las Vegas’ longest exotic car track. At 1.5 miles, the Formula One-inspired track is comparable to the top circuits in the world and includes 12 sweeping turns, 15 degrees banking, 60 feet of total elevation and a 1/2 mile straightaway.
By May, a 20,000-square-foot, two-story welcome center will open, featuring indoor and outdoor observation decks, a café, meeting and event space and more.

Intrigue at Wynn
The new Intrigue nightclub, which will replace Tryst, is set to open on April 28th, marking Wynn Las Vegas’ 11 year anniversary.
With state-of-the-art lighting and sound designed by award-winning John Lyons Systems, the new 14,000-square-foot venue, which will accommodate up to 1,200 patrons, is set to offer something new and refreshing in Vegas. Guests will enjoy contemporary party music that will cross over many different genres creating a high-energy dancing environment.
Another new, hotly anticipated Las Vegas nightclub is Jewel, which will be taking the place of HAZE nightclub at ARIA Resort & Casino.
Designed by the Rockwell Group, JEWEL spans more than 24,000 square feet with a capacity of up to 1,925 guests. The multi-level venue will encompass a main club with an overlooking mezzanine level complete with five unique and secluded suites situated above the dance floor, each with its own exclusive entry. The DJ booth will feature a production wall with dual-sided LED video screens and special effects lighting.
Budweiser Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas
One for the beer fans among you, the new Budweiser Beer Park will be located on the deck above Hexx at Paris Las Vegas. Opening in early 2016 the new beer park will feature an outdoor grill and over 100 beers to choose from.
This could be the ideal place to watch the game, grab a beer and hang out with friends.
Las Vegas Shows
With more and more superstars signing up to Las Vegas residencies, there are sure to be some amazing shows to see in 2016.
Jenifer Lopez will be performing her “All I Have” show at the Axis Theater inside Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on January 20th.
Not much is known about J. Lo’s set list, but based on past performances, fans can likely anticipate a flurry of dance anthems and flashy choreography for “Dance Again,” “On the Floor” and “Waiting for Tonight”, mixed with slower tracks such as “All I Have,” “If You Had My Love” and “I’m Real”.
Lionel Richie will also be taking the stage at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino when he kicks off his residency on April 27th. Known across the world for hits including “All Night Long,” “Hello,” “Stuck on You,” “Say You, Say Me,” and “Dancing on the Ceiling,” the Grammy Award-winning artist will be bringing a collection of his most popular songs to Vegas audiences for a limited-show headlining engagement.
Billy Idol will be rocking his way into the House of Blues for several dates in March and May. The show will feature Idol, his longtime guitarist Steve Stevens, and the rest of Idol’s band performing songs from Idol’s extensive catalog including “Rebel Yell,” “White Wedding,” “Dancing With Myself,” and many more.
Las Vegas Restaurants
Wahlburgers
Fans of the A&E reality show “Wahlburgers” will be excited to learn a branch of the restaurant is coming to Las Vegas at the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s. A specific opening date has not been announced yet. The popular, fast-casual burger restaurant founded by brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg will feature gourmet burgers and specialty drinks. The restaurant will have a walk-up window and a 600-square foot outdoor patio.
Sugar Factory
Sugar Factory American Brasserie has announced plans to open its largest restaurant and retail complex in early 2016 at the Fashion Show Mall. The new Sugar Factory American Brasserie will be two levels and nearly 16,000 square feet. The lower level will be divided between the main dining room and a retail store. The restaurant will serve Sugar Factory American Brasserie’s signature items along with classic favorites such as pizzas, pastas, salads, fresh seafood, steaks and sandwiches.
The upper level will feature a 3,000-square-foot open-air Chocolate Lounge, which will offer chocolate fondues, accompanied by wine, champagne and liquor pairings.
El Burro Borracho
Chef and television host Guy Fieri plans to open his second Las Vegas restaurant in early 2016 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. El Burro Borracho will serve authentically prepared Mexican dishes with upscale touches and the signature, flavorful flair you would expect from Fieri. Crispy Mahi Mahi Juan Tacos, Flaming Queso Fundido, Acapulco Gold Salad, Drunken Fish Tacos, Lava Rock Shrimp, signature tortas, enchiladas, burritos and an array of house made, signature salsas are just a few of the items that will be available on the menu.
Eggslut
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will be welcoming its newest restaurant, Eggslut, in 2016. As the name suggests, the menu is inspired by Chef Alvin Cailan’s love for eggs and features unique twists on breakfast sandwich favorites. Eggslut at The Cosmopolitan will be the brand’s first expansion outside of the Los Angeles market.
