It’s no secret that Las Vegas is famous for its party scene, but there are also lots of great attractions with plenty to see and do in this spectacular city that are definitely worth a visit! Here are some of our favorites…
Fremont Street Experience
Off The Strip in downtown Las Vegas, you will find Fremont Street; a 24-hour pedestrian mall and attraction filled with unique sites. A five-block section of this street has been covered with a canopy of LED lights which light up the sky in an array of colors as you walk through. Each night, a fantastic music and visual show takes place overhead, and street performers and special entertainment acts often perform outdoors in the area. This is known as the Fremont Street Experience, and offers casino and restaurant access, free entertainment, and is just a few kilometers away from hotel groupings like Treasure Island and Caesars Palace.
Paris Las Vegas Hotel
The Paris Hotel on The Strip is one of Las Vegas’s most easily recognized resorts, with its half-size scale model of the Eiffel Tower and a recreation of the Paris Opera House. There is also a mock hot-air balloon festooned with flashing neon lights on the property. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant is located on the 11th floor of the “Eiffel Tower”, offering delicious cuisine and stunning views of The Strip and The Bellagio’s dancing fountains.
Helicopter Tours
Offering a great aerial view of Las Vegas, The Strip, or even the Grand Canyon, spectacular helicopter rides are available to visitors. There are several different companies that provide helicopter tours in Las Vegas that will take visitors over stunning views which is both an exciting experience as well as a great opportunity for anyone with limited time. Whether you choose to go during the day or at night, gorgeous views are guaranteed, along with an experience of a lifetime.
The Shark Reef Aquarium
Located on the southwest end of The Strip at Mandalay Bay Resort is the Shark Reef Aquarium, which is far from your typical aquarium. Featuring dangerous and unusual aquatic animals from the world’s tropical waters, this experience is designed to transport visitors to an undersea ocean of amazing sights, sounds, and encounters, and be taken on a journey through an ancient temple slowly being claimed by the sea. The massive 1,300,000-gallon tank holds over 2,000 animals, with more than 100 different species including 15 species of sharks. Some of the aquarium’s popular attractions is the Touch Pool, where visitors can touch an ever-changing collection of these many animals, and the Shark Tunnel, where guests walk through a transparent underwater tunnel while watching the sharks swim nearby. Shark Reef is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and works with wildlife biologists to preserve endangered populations as well as rehabilitate injured animals.
