New and improved buffet at Wynn Las Vegas

If you go to Vegas, it’s more than likely that you will enjoy one of the cities legendary buffets. Recently, the all-you-can-eat experience has enjoyed significant upgrades, including more gourmet offerings and VIP amenities.

Complete with an airy, flower-filled atrium and calming dining room, the Buffet at Wynn has always offered one of the more elegant spreads on the Strip.

After a quick month-long facelift, the expansive dining room has been updated with brighter colors, making for a cheery and social, yet relaxing meal. The buffet line, which begins with salads and takes you on an eating adventure through a street taco station, roasted meats carvery and ethnic flavors, including made-to-order sushi, Peking duck buns and a raw bar, now boasts new, colorful awnings. Upgraded equipment acts as new toys for the cooks to play with, including a rotating comal for those Mexican-style street tacos, plus an exclusive open-flame Woodstone grill, the first of its kind in North America.

Gone are the obvious signs that state what’s at each station. Now the décor gives hints as to what is offered: Gilded sausage hangs on the wall above the charcuterie selection; gold-covered fish are strung as if they’ve just been caught next to the presentation of crab legs and Jonah crab claws; a rotisserie grill wall indicates what’s on the menu at the carving station.

With more than 120 dishes being added to the already expansive menu, the choice on offer is truly staggering.

With the mouthwatering food obviously being the main focus of the buffet, the Wynn has also been very careful to deliver the right ambience for diners to enjoy. The new look buffet now boast 177 strategically placed speakers which offer up a variety of contemporary music to gently mask the sounds of the kitchen, making for a delightful buffet experience.

Once you have finished your main meal, you can enjoy one (or more if you wish) of the 40 after-dinner options available to you. The rotating wheel of ice creams features a dozen different flavors, from plain vanilla to palate-cleansing mango to the gourmet salted caramel chocolate.

The buffet at Wynn, really has moved into a league of its own. We recommend that when you’re next in Vegas, you try it out.

The Buffet is open for breakfast Monday through Friday, 8 am to 11 am for $23.99; lunch Monday through Friday, 11 am to 3:30 pm, is $26.99; and dinner Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 10 pm, is $42.99.
