Japanese whisky is experiencing golden age, whether it’s in Las Vegas or nationwide. Back in the 2003, when the famous film “Lost in Translation,” was released, actor Bill Murray had struggled with the line “For relaxing times, make it Suntory time”. The very idea his director was so passionate over a Japanese whisky was part of the anecdote. The nation was not, at the time, known for its whisky.

Two mammoth hospitality and entertainment companies are in midst of negotiations, discussing a merger: SBE Entertainment has confirmed that it is in “advanced talks to combine” with the Hakkasan Group, which would create one enormous company worth a whopping $1 billion.

Last week the NFL were notified by the Oakland Raiders that they’ve found a new partner to sponsor their proposed $1.9 billion stadium in Las Vegas: Bank of America. A person conversant with the Raiders’ plans said the team presented the new offer with financing backed by Bank of America to the NFL’s stadium and investment boards. Said person spoke on condition of anonymity, since the plan was not made public.

Several construction apparatus was set up in advance of the ConExpo-Con/Agg trade display at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, last Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The show will be running from March 7-11, and is projected to attract approximately 130,000 attendees. Outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, one was able to see a 16,000-ton excavator sitting in a large sandbox. This will be the star of the construction industry’s prime international assembly, CONEXPO-CON/AGG, which comes to town this week.
